Roulette is played with a spinning wheel, a ball that lands in slots on the wheel, and a betting table.
The wheel has 37 slots with the numbers from 0 through 36. Numbers 1 through 36 are coloured red or black.
The player places bets on the roulette table. The table shows the same 37 numbers as the wheel, arranged on a grid. By choosing where bets are placed on the grid, players may bet single numbers or groups of numbers.
The tables below show the types of bets and the odds they pay. ‘Inside’ bets are placed on the number grid, and refer to numbers adjacent to the bet location. ‘Outside’ bets are placed on the table outside the number grid, in the green squares.
